Peer Review Process

At ICoMEIA 2026, we implement a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all submitted manuscripts. The review process is integrated with the conference’s multi-track publication system (Proceedings and Journal tracks).

  1. Initial Screening: Upon submission, all manuscripts are evaluated by the editorial team to ensure compliance with submission guidelines, formatting requirements, and scope of the conference.
  2. Assignment of Reviewers: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to qualified reviewers based on their expertise, with careful consideration of impartiality and avoidance of conflicts of interest. Each manuscript is typically reviewed by at least three independent reviewers.
  3. Double-Blind Peer Review: ICoMEIA 2026 adopts a double-blind peer review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure objective and unbiased evaluation.
  4. Review and Evaluation: All manuscripts are rigorously reviewed based on defined evaluation criteria, including originality, methodology, technical quality, clarity, and relevance. Reviewers also provide constructive feedback to enhance the work.
  5. Editorial Decision: The editorial committee makes final decisions based on reviewers’ recommendations, including acceptance, revision, or rejection. This ensures high academic standards and relevance.
  6. Revision Process: Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewer comments. Revised submissions will be re-evaluated before a final decision is made.
  7. Final Decision and Notification: Authors will receive the final decision along with detailed reviewer feedback.
  8. Integration with Publication Tracks: Accepted papers proceed according to their selected track, with possible additional reviews for proceedings or further journal-level peer review for journal submissions.
  9. Ethical Standards: All submissions must adhere to ethical publishing standards, including originality, proper citation, avoidance of plagiarism, and compliance with academic and research ethics.
  10. Review Duration: The review timeline varies depending on manuscript complexity, reviewer availability, and revision rounds, while maintaining a balance between timeliness and quality. While every effort is made to ensure a timely review process, maintaining the quality and integrity of the evaluation remains the highest priority.
